Start wherever it makes sense
You can try YardHelm in your browser right now, bring your own yard online in days, and add hardware once the software has proved itself. None of the three paths requires the one before it, and all of them are free to try.
Try the demo now
Every YardHelm login screen carries an Explore the live demo button. One click switches the whole application into demo mode. There's no account to create and nothing to configure.
- Every screen filled with realistic practice data — trailers, appointments, alarms, invoices
- A guided whole-app tour that walks you through the big picture
- Per-screen explainers that tell you what you are looking at, wherever you land
- Runs entirely in your browser, with nothing to set up
Go live in days, not months
YardHelm is delivered as a service. Your workspace arrives with zones, spots, dock doors and roles already shaped, and the guided setup walks your team through making it yours.
Sign in to your workspace — it opens with a practice yard so nobody learns on live data.
Take the guided tours — the whole-app tour first, then per-screen explainers as you go.
Shape the yard — zones, spots and dock doors renamed until the map reads like the yard outside.
Set the money rules — detention free hours, rates and caps, per carrier.
Invite the team — dispatchers, gate staff and dock leads, each with the right role.
Add hardware later
GPS trackers, gate cameras, reefer telematics, fuel cards, AI dash cams, EV chargers, SOS wearables — even robot yard tractors. Fourteen device categories connect when you're ready, in any order.
- You can validate each connection during a pilot, before buying hardware
- Devices deepen screens you already use; no feature is held back without them
- Start with one device and let the results justify the next
Your first week
A sensible sequence from first click to a real truck moving through the system. None of it is irreversible, and most of it goes faster than it sounds.
Open the demo
On the login screen, press Explore the live demo. Take the whole-app tour, then wander — every screen has an explainer if you want the detail.
Sign in to your workspace
Your YardHelm workspace opens with a practice yard — trailers, drivers and appointments already in place — so the team can learn safely before anything is real.
Create your team's accounts
Add dispatchers, gate staff and dock leads with the roles and permissions that fit. Single sign-on can come later — it doesn't block day one.
Make the yard yours
The seed ships three zones, 36 spots and 24 dock doors. Rename and reshape them until the live map reads like the yard outside your window.
Run one real appointment end to end
Book the appointment, check the truck in at the gate, assign a door, dispatch the move and check the truck out. Watch every screen in the building update as it happens.
Pick your first device
Usually GPS trackers or a gate camera. Validate the connection during a pilot first, so you know the integration works before you spend anything.
